Sorry for the lack of post and comments to your blogs, but it been ahhhh crazy around here. With the boys starting school and Dakota in the 4th grade his time has been more demanding and also in flag football, so it always seems we are on the road for something...either its to get grocery's, taking some meals to the field for Bryan as he's been drilling wheat and thank gawd he's done...next week he'll be starting to pick corn, of flag football it just never seems to stop. Then my back been in and out for the past two months so it cuts into my sleep time..couple of week i would be running on only two to three hours a sleep at night....so i been blah and drain...cuz if i cant function neither can the family and i do believe the saying is If Momma aint happy there aint nobody happy!...lol Then there was the hurricane that hit Texas...that would be mister Ike...as the joke goes...Tina must of been in Texas...lol and it took my grandpa town out there were a lot of damage but thank god mom and grandpa safe...i just felt bad mom's vacation ended up with no shower or electricity for a week...but mom gets to go back for a month or so while grandpa have knee surgery so maybe she can try again to have a vacation! While that happen my dad ended up in Kearney with a triple by-pass and went great...he was able to walk out of the hospital a week later and he's been walking ever since...Mom had said that people couldn't believe he's out and walking the town almost everyday...is he nuts...well ya he is but that's beside the point...lol no, for a man that been a truck driver for years and always on the go...its hard for those old farts to sit and relax..plus its doing him some good, even tho. he got caught driving to Culbertson and back one day and he's not supposed to drive for two weeks. we do have eye's watching you dad...oh yea they are everywhere...does that sound familiar! Ha! The whole Werner family really want to say thanks for all the concerns, prayer, wisdom words, and cards to help us out through this shocking and worrying times....My dad was really shocked as he think that no one really knew him since he's only a weekend visitor...lol But being down for two months healing he's getting to know the people a lil more as he walks around Palisade, but we are really blessed with the friends and family that help us through this!
now on with the family!
Dakota is doing great in school...he has all A's and one B so far...he did have a C in a class but with a lil talking and a lil yelling he brought it up to a B...so we are very proud of him taking that step and working hard! He is loving flag football as the get a lil better each year...this year they have one a game and tide a game...cant wait to see what this weekend brings...as the big brother plays football on the field the lil brother is doing the same on the side lines with all the other lil brothers...its so cute reminds me of high school football, as for Dalten he plays with the lil girl on the side line, they would be walking around holding hands or they follow him around chasing him...so yea i know what that means and boy do we know we are going to be in trouble.
Colten is doing very well in preschool. I think he will do great in Kindergarten next year...and I know he cant wait...he keep asking everyday is it his birthday cuz he just wants to turn 5....i have never seen anyone so anxious for there birthday...lol
As for Dalten he just turned two...and boy has it been hard for us to except that...he's doing really well, i think he likes the fact that i dont work anymore and it just us during the day...we do so much together...well thats when i feel good! He has been talking so much more its fun to have a conversation with him....At heritage days we went to the craft fair at Norris park and after i was done looking at all the wonderful neat things I took Dalten over to the park area so he can play with his brothers...and Austin...well they was playing with that concert tunnel, well on the other side there was four boys of the ages 8 or 9 was playing and Dalten sat down right next to them and he was messing up what they were making and I just watch make sure nothing bad will happen and this went on for about 10 mins then a boy pick Dalten up and move him away. Well Dalten walk over to me all upset, you could just see it in his face. Then a lil bit later Dalten was walking over there and i was going to grab him and I see him getting in the same kids face and yelled "NO" at him and just gave that poor boy a piece of his mind. Then he huffed and puffed his way back to me and i said to him "Well did you get everything of your chest" and he said Yea...and walked away and went played with Austin...Lindsay and I just laugh our heads off as I was crying inside cuz i know that will lead into trouble as he gets older...So I know i will get phone calls from the school! I can see it NOW!
Bryan and I are doing great...like i said Bryan's been very busy with farming...which its been hard this year with everything starting late...both harvests did and will start late do to all the rain we had this year, its been a blessing to have the moisture but it puts a cramp on things cuz we have to involve our self around the harvest...for the past 5 years they wheat and corn harvest start almost the same day...this year they have not! As i bet it has put some damper on some of your gardens as well.... I have been busy off and on trying to catch up my loss of sleep and keeping up with the kids...i just hope my back get better soon and can get back on top of things like my HOUSE and visiting some friends.. I been wanting to paint three rooms in our house but just haven't had the ump to do it...so i hope i can do that shortly. Other than that, that has been our life in a nut shell... and hopefully i can post a pictures up soon...thanks for reading! Have a great and safe weekend!
